There are over 60 monastiries of Tibetian Buddhism in this region. The most important being Rumtek Monastry in Sikkim,the seak of the His Holliness Karmapa.who is the head of the Kagyupa order of Tibetian Buddhism. Behind the monastery is the laurishly decorated Karma Nalanda institute of buddist studies. Which attracts students from the world over opposite the entizance to the institute is a small hall featuring a beautiful jewel studded chorten the golden stupa. Which contains the ashes and remain of his holiness, The XV1 gyalwa Karmapa.
Another spectacular monastry on Gangtok-Ranka route is the recently established lingudum Monastry which is the seat of Zurmang charwang Rimphoche. The present Gharwang Rimphoche is the xii successive incarnation in this lineage. Other monasteries:Phensong monastry build in 1840 belonging to Nyngmapa order. Phodong Monastry: about 38 km from gangtok build by chogyal gyurmed Namgyal in the first quarter of the 18th century for the Karmapa,phodong is the first Kagyupa monastry to be set up in sikkim.

Day 1 Pick-up from Bagdogra Airport N.J.P .Railway station.
And drive to rumtek waterfall Jharna Resort”O/N,
(evening visit old Rumtek Monastry/World famous “Kagya seet” Rumtek monastry,Botanical Garden ,Cardommon fields.O/N at “Himalchuli waterfall Resort@ with @sikkimese cusine”.
 
After breakfast drive to Gangtok city and cheek in to Hotel Suprview Himanchuli.
